Port Captain

a. Education:
ANT III
b. Experience:
3 years as Chief Officer or 2nd Officer on board.
c. Job Description:
- Monitoring, reviewing and ensuring that vessels operate safely with proper procedure and pollution prevention, includes ensuring that all documents are in accordance with vessel operational needs and regulation are still valid on the vessel.
- Provide a link between the operation management, customer requirements and vessels.
- Responsible to ensure crew discipline and constantly educate all crew to improve their skills and knowledge in carrying out their duties, and ensure all crews are able to carry out all procedures, systems, testing, training, familiarization, orientation, emergency drill.
- Monitor and ensure vessel operation, fuel oil consumption, spare part supply and maintenance, for the project assigned is carried out as per program and procedures.
- If necessary, Port Captain (PC) may act as on board Masters/Officers or Owner Representative (OR) for a certain period of time.
